David G. Wurster

A native of Wyomissing, PA, David graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1999 with a degree in Finance. David worked for Mellon Bank in Pittsburgh, focusing on institutional trust portfolios, he later accepted a position with the Bank of Bermuda (now HSBC) in the Cayman Islands, giving him invaluable experience in institutional and high net worth portfolios.
When he returned to the States, his experience with institutional investors served him well at SEI Investments, a world-renowned money manager in the Philadelphia area. David then earned his MBA at Clemson University, with concentrations in wealth management and international business. During his course of study he took graduate level coursework in the areas of Portfolio Management, Estates and Trusts, Income Taxation, International Finance, Venture Capital/Private Equity, and Real Estate Investment.
After graduation, he worked for an independent wealth management firm with clients in Wilmington, Myrtle Beach, and Charleston and enjoyed serving as a financial planner and Vice-President of Investments. During his time there, David became a Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional.
David holds series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations as well as Life, Accident and Health insurance licenses for numerous states.
David co-founded Palmetto Coast Capital in 2011, a firm committed to providing exemplary and ethical wealth management. He is also a founding member of the Childhood Cancer Optimist Club of South Carolina. He has been selected to be the investment management/financial planner representative of the BNI-North Myrtle Beach chapter and served 2 successful years as Chapter President, he now serves as a Chapter Ambassador. In his free time he enjoys lifting weights, enjoying the beach, and supporting Pittsburgh and Clemson sports.
